Dragons are real.

The shock washes over you, slowly. You slowly come back to yourself and notice, as if for the first time, the person in front of you, sitting atop a majestic dragon. You know all about the dragon, naturally. Tale of Dragons has taught you a lot. Of course, until a few seconds ago, you had thought it was all fantasy…
You blink in the sunlight. Not long ago at all, you had been inside, on the computer, hatching your newest rare. So many incredible dragons… could they ALL be as real as the one standing in front of you?
“You can only have one,” says the figure on the dragon’s back. One dragon. That’s all? Online, you have tons. Then again, that’s a game. You’re shaken from your thoughts as the figure speaks again. “Now, come. Hurry! Usually, Mistland is only open to admins, but this is an emergency. We need everyone we can get who knows something about real dragons.”
“Wait,” you say. “I’m going where?” Your mind flashes to all the things you have to do today – (sports practice, work, school, whatever) – but this has got to be important. You don’t know the stranger on the dragon, but come on! Real dragons! Not hesitating any longer, you scramble on board the dragon’s back. No sooner do you have a grip than the rider calls out to their steed and the dragon’s wings lift. It shoots up into the sky as fast as a bullet – and then the world around you disappears.
“First, we need to get you a dragon. I needed to catch mine myself, but since we’ve had such a growth recently, you’ll just get yours from the hatchery that Silver and I built.”
Silver? Meaning… SILVER Silver? The founder of the site? … Oh.
“Wait. Who are YOU then?”
The rider doesn’t answer. It’s so dark, they may not even be there anymore. Suddenly, however, the dragon’s wings stop beating and you’re sitting in broad daylight, in front of the strangest building you’ve ever seen.
“Welcome to the hatchery on Mistland,” says the dragon rider with a slight smile. “Go right on in.” The rider then promptly flies away on their dragon into the sky until you can't see them any more.

((Need a summary? No problem. Here's the one I posted for Messenger awhile back, with the latest added on the end. Anyone you don't recognize other than her?))

New Summary:

Day 1: Most of us get here (myself, Riv, Shace, Lucky), explore the place a little. We have dorms, a kitchen, and a museum, as well as a couple of other rooms, such as the hatchery. We find our eggs in the hatchery and they hatch fairly quickly (over the next couple of days). We go to sleep, while a few of us incubate our eggs in a room full of nesting material to ensure their gender. Invi arrives in the middle of the night.

Day 2: We go outside to eat, where a random guy flies in on a hostile dragon. He turns out to be our mentor, Reginald, who can do some magicky stuff. The dragon flies away the first chance it gets, and we discover that we are the only ones who are allowed to hatch, raise, and bond with our own dragons. (He was trying to tame a wild one, unsuccessfully.) During this time, Doves and Riku appear. We discover that Doves can't speak (and can only hear under certain conditions - she can describe this in more detail if she wishes), and that Riku has seizures or something along those lines sometimes when he sleeps. They each receive their eggs, and the day is over by this point, so we go to sleep again.

Day 3: We wake up and most of us go exploring, getting breakfast from some unusual-looking berries and fish near the building. Invi finds that in the museum, there are certain displays with tools, weapons, and other useful items with our dragons' names (or nicknames) on them. She brings the rest of us in (including Reginald) when the hatchery is attacked by hostile, bug-like creatures known as silpeti (according to Reginald - singular "silpetl"). They have dangerous wing-like formations of red crystal on their back that it is not a good idea to touch. XD Three silpeti get into the hatchery before Reginald magically closes the hole, along with a girl who seems to be controlling them (though we later learn that she commands them in a similar way that we command our dragons - as in we tell them to do something, but they retain free will). Insert FIGHT SCENE. Eventually, after the smallest silpetl, the medium silpetl, and Riku are wounded, I manage to freeze them (with a magic item I found) and we tie the monsters and the girl up. We interrogate her a little and discover that her name is Melody. She is quite afraid of both us and (especially) our dragons (who, by this time, have grown significantly). We lock her up in one of our dorm rooms, except that the littlest (a female named Icarus) manages to escape assisted by invi's dragon. Meanwhile, Riku rests from his injury, partially healed by Doves, and Reginald makes dinner for us. Anyway, Icarus and invi's dragon go outside and form a sort of friendship. Icarus rides on invi's dragon's back (who has just learned how to fly). They are caught after Melody and I realize that Icarus is gone and Doves's dragon finds them. Melody tries to insist on going outside to get her, which leads to a small conflict until invi drags her back to her room. Invi is pretty angry at Terridor, but he kind of shrugs it off, and then Messenger arrives. Everyone rushes to greet her, and Vuelie explains the general setting to her (and the fact that Terri isn't really as scary as he looks, because he's started delighting in freaking the new girl out). It's getting dark, and Reginald has made dinner for everyone, so we're all going inside currently (except myself, who was already inside and is now making sure everyone gets in for the night, and Riku, who's still resting).

There might be some stuff I've forgotten, but that's the main gist. By the way (in case you hadn't guessed), Messenger has a Sundown egg. :) So at this point, you have two choices - you can do the "I was with you guys all along" thing, or you can come up with a mini-story of your adventures of the day. The second would be somewhat more realistic, and might maybe tell us something about the world we're in, but the second would mean you already know what's going on and don't need any filling in in-game.

((Wow, that was an amazing summary. xD Thanks Avalon. I think I'll do a my-own-little-adventure, to make things easy in that I don't have to pretend I was always there but did nothing.))

Lucky had spent the last few days on her own, exploring places she'd heard about but never seen. Her companion, the oddly dark Keystone she'd named Mica Flecks, rode on her shoulders. She walked, exploring the deep snows of the Christmas wonderland, following trails familiar to her through a quest she'd completed online. She spotted several winter specific breeds frolicking in the snow. Jingle Bell's were being elusive as she hunted but she often heard bells ringing through the land, so she was quite certain they were around. Once she got a quick glimpse of one but it made her pause. It wasn't the usual red splotched dragon. It was purple! The sight of that made Lucky giddy. They were so extremely rare, the purple ones. Mica's excited cheeps confirmed that it had indeed been a purple one. Much more common than the Jingle Bells, were the Frosted Hollies she spotted in almost every pine grove. They watched her carefully but so long as she kept her distance, they stayed where they were. The further Lucky traveled, the more she found, including Krystos and Snowbell dragons. Once, she even spotted a Herald dragon winging it's way over the land. With a roar, it vanished over the horizon, leaving Lucky staring after it in awe. Finally she began making her way back towards the main lair.

Lucky took a roundabout route, going back by a different path. Everywhere she look, there were more dragons. Some were familiar favorites. Others were new ones she'd never seen before. "New releases." She murmured to Mica. "I'm sure of it. If I'd stayed at home I'd have seen them eventually." Most of the dragons seem skittish though, leaving whenever Lucky tried to get closer. A few of the more adventurous species dared to come close but though she tried, none would let her touch them. What surprised Lucky the most, of all the dragons, were the foxes. A thrill of excitement went through her. The Silvfoxes! They weren't gone forever! Lucky had been so disappointed when the site went down but to see them here made Lucky hopeful she would see them again on the internet. Well, if she ever made it back, or wanted to go back, she added to herself. Mistland was amazing and who knew if she would want to leave when the time came.

Finally, after several days on her own, Lucky made it back to the main lair. The sun was well down and darkness shrouded the land as she approached the lair. Even in the darkness though, she was fairly visible, her gray hair, white cat ear headband and white clothes easily catching what little light there was. The only darkness to her was the shadowy blue spot on her shoulders where Mica lay snoozing. The pair were tired and more than ready to return to a spot place to rest in the lair. Lucky couldn't keep the grin off her face as she walked up, feeling excited despite the task ahead of them.

Doves felt Storm nudge her mind gently as she reached down to pick up the silpetl, though she didn't do much to distract herself from her task for fear of touching something that was deadly. What is it Storm? She asked after picking and wrapping the little thing up in a towel. A person we haven't met, but I think Avalon has though. He replied, though his voice was taking a distinctive feminine touch, verses his previous very indiscernible tone. Doves waved to Lucky and waited for her, while Storm decided to make his presence far more known and raced up to her.

Hey, Hey, hey! I'm Storm! Want to play? He asked mentally to Mica and Lucky as he bounced around them excitedly. Storm practically touched Lucky's shoulder when he stood with his neck all stretched out and all paws on the ground, and his deep blue scales almost blending into the coming night. He also still wore his pack, though there seemed to be a small area expanding in the middle of it with nothing there. STORM! Calm down they look weary. Doves said as calmly as she could over her and Storm's mental connection, though politely including Lucky and Mica.

Lucky returned the wave, smiling at Doves. "Hiya! Guess a few more people showed up while I was off." She said cheerfully, not realizing Doves couldn't hear her. Mica was startle awake by the sudden commotion from Storm. She glanced down at the larger dragon, cheeping sleepily. She was tired. Playing was the last thing on her mind at the moment. Not to mention the bigger dragon made her a little nervous. She did reach down her nose from Lucky's shoulder though, cautiously greeting Storm. Lucky chuckled, sliding Mica off her shoulder and into her arms so the two dragons were on level with each other. "Relax Mica, you're fine, I promise." She murmured, stroking Mica's back gently. The little dragon gave an indignant chirp. As if she needed to be reassured like a child! "You are still a child." Lucky pointed out to her companion playfully.

As Messenger was going in, she heard somebody. Another person? she thought. At this rate, it was a wonder there wasn't a 'missing persons' problem in the people world.
Messenger turned to meet this person and her dragon. She wondered briefly about the dark keystone, but was then distracted. As the newcomer come closer, she saw how tired ((she? he?)) looked.
"Hello," she said, as politely as she could, "are you OK? You look tired."

Invi glanced back outside to where doves and storm stood. And, another figure, apparently. It was dressed mainly in white and bright clothing.she considered the possibility of it being a native, and quickly went of on another tangent.I never did figure out if this was another planet or not. If so, does that make the natives alien? But...this is their planet, are we the aliens? Or is this a parelel universe, where there are humans exactly the same to people at home. Does that still make us aliens? Or maybe...urg, where did I put my bowtie...
She realised that it was just lucky. "Oh....where the heck has she been?!"

(ps do you like ma new signature? i made it myself)

((Whoa! It's cool, but a little creepy. XD))
Avalon squinted into the darkness. She saw another figure walking up. She made her way closer to it, despite the fact that she was trying to get everyone inside. This was probably more important, after all. Oh! she thought suddenly. Lucky! Boy, that was a relief. It had been long enough that she'd started wondering whether they should go looking for her. Lucky seemed okay, though, just tired. Avalon gave a little smile-and-wave over the others' shoulders - she didn't feel like pushing past anyone right at the moment. Fortunately, they all seemed to be heading for the door as well. She sent a short message to Vuelie (who was currently curled up on the bed, waiting) - Guess what? Luckytiger's back! She and Micah are coming inside. At this Vuelie perked up a bit and walked towards the door to wait.

Lucky smiled tiredly at Messenger. "I'm fine. I've just been walking a lot and I'm tired." As if to emphasize her words, she was interrupted by a large yawn. She covered her mouth, looking sheepish. "Sorry. Like I said, it's been a long day." Spotting Avalon, her grin widened. She returned the wave cheerfully. "Hey Avalon!" She called to her, making her way over to the other girl. "Sorry about disappearing like that. I just had to see the places Silver and Cort had been talking about for myself. This place is amazing!. And the dragons are all really here. I mean, I knew that before hand but it's one thing to know it and another to see a Hollie making a nest in the trees or a Sunrise greeting the dawn." She babbled on happily, finally pausing to take a breath. "Right now though, I think I'd like nothing better than to sit down and put my feet up. I am so sore."

((Invi, that is creepy and awesome all at once. xD ))

((Lordy Invi, I love it, but it needs to be in blue instead of green, well, doing that would simply make me green with envy, so your probably better off sticking to that awesome green.))

Storm, after having calmed down and relaying what Lucky had said to Doves, followed Lucky and Mica around while Doves just shook her head and followed them in, still carrying the silpetl. Storm, go check on Grey and Riku, I haven't seen them in awhile. Doves sent to Storm as she walked up to where Messenger, Avalon, and Lucky stood. Fine fine, I'll go see to them, but wait, where are they? Storm asked. That made Doves pause in what she was going to bring up in the conversation. Never mind then, stick with me, I'm probably going to need you til I get around explaining my sound restrictions to Lucky and Messenger. Storm nodded in reply and fell in step beside Doves, having settled down a lot after realizing how tired they were.

Messenger decided they should probably get inside now. It was getting dark, after all. She turned to go, and noticed Doves, who seemed to have the same idea.
Then she noticed the creature. It looked bug-like, covered with some sort of armour with tiny crystals sprouting from its back. "What's that?" she asked, intrigued.
