Dragons are real.

The shock washes over you, slowly. You slowly come back to yourself and notice, as if for the first time, the person in front of you, sitting atop a majestic dragon. You know all about the dragon, naturally. Tale of Dragons has taught you a lot. Of course, until a few seconds ago, you had thought it was all fantasy…
You blink in the sunlight. Not long ago at all, you had been inside, on the computer, hatching your newest rare. So many incredible dragons… could they ALL be as real as the one standing in front of you?
“You can only have one,” says the figure on the dragon’s back. One dragon. That’s all? Online, you have tons. Then again, that’s a game. You’re shaken from your thoughts as the figure speaks again. “Now, come. Hurry! Usually, Mistland is only open to admins, but this is an emergency. We need everyone we can get who knows something about real dragons.”
“Wait,” you say. “I’m going where?” Your mind flashes to all the things you have to do today – (sports practice, work, school, whatever) – but this has got to be important. You don’t know the stranger on the dragon, but come on! Real dragons! Not hesitating any longer, you scramble on board the dragon’s back. No sooner do you have a grip than the rider calls out to their steed and the dragon’s wings lift. It shoots up into the sky as fast as a bullet – and then the world around you disappears.
“First, we need to get you a dragon. I needed to catch mine myself, but since we’ve had such a growth recently, you’ll just get yours from the hatchery that Silver and I built.”
Silver? Meaning… SILVER Silver? The founder of the site? … Oh.
“Wait. Who are YOU then?”
The rider doesn’t answer. It’s so dark, they may not even be there anymore. Suddenly, however, the dragon’s wings stop beating and you’re sitting in broad daylight, in front of the strangest building you’ve ever seen.
“Welcome to the hatchery on Mistland,” says the dragon rider with a slight smile. “Go right on in.” The rider then promptly flies away on their dragon into the sky until you can't see them any more.

(Dear Heavens almighty, I missed everything. Also, ignore my last post entirely, I'm a derp and I was sleepy and confused, forgive me.)

Shace had admittedly, ashamedly, grabbed Xulca and hid among the displays, stroking the hatchling to calm both herself and Xulca.

Once things had seemed to quiet down she almost stepped out of her hiding place, but her guilt and shame held her in place... what would the others think...?

She couldn't justify her cowardice to herself beyond the fact that she was equipped to ambush others, not be ambushed, and that was a terrible reason.

So instead she just hid behind that display and quietly cried.

Avalon popped a few of the cactus berries in her mouth and glanced back at Melody, who was still trying to talk to the others, but mostly just sobbing pitifully. "I don't know," said Avalon. "Do YOU think we can trust her? I'm don't. And we probably shouldn't until we can find out more information. But we also have things to do - we can't watch her 24/7." She looked down at the food. "Speaking of that, a lot of us still need something to eat. Maybe an actual meal this time?" she half-laughed. "If there's a bathroom here, and a dorm, there ought to be a kitchen too somewhere."

Invi giggled. "yeah, but...." she looked at melody "we will have to keep her little critters restrained, but i think, as long as we keep her under watch, she will be fine". but invi was questioning her words as she said them. the girl also had the sharp crystals growing out of her shoulder, she could easily attack at any time being lose....and, if tamers were anything like riders, she would not like her friends being restrained. 'maybe we could try threatening her?' said terry 'I mean, look, she cares about those things. just say if she try's to escape, her little buddy's will pay the price for it'. she sighed.' but I don't think anybody in this room would be O.K with torturing the beasts, no matter how hostile they are....'. terry sent an image of himself smirking to invi. 'we don't actually have to hurt them, the threat will be enough!'. Invi's eyes widened. she bent down and scratched him softly on the head. "dude.......your a genius"

Riv was quiet the whole time they interrogated the pale girl (who seemed to be speaking english, but with a strong Gaelic accent, leaving Riv to puzzling out the words). She wasn't sure what to do with her either, and listening to Avalon and Invi trying to figure it out didn't help much. Meanwhile the girl was still sobbing and trying to make them listen to her. She wasn't very good at it.

When Avalon mentioned food, Skully's ears perked up. His stomach had the perfect timing to rumble just then. He stretched himself, got to his feet and started trotting towards the stairs. Where are you going? Riv asked immediately, getting to her feet. Stay there, I'm gonna go find that kitchen Avalon mentioned, Skully answered, already at the top of the stairs. He was quick. But you can't go alone! There might be someone else still out there, we don't know if she came alone, Riv pointed towards the sobbing girl for good measure. Well, I'm hungry, I'm not going to wait until you slow humans finally decide something about her and then go and search for the kitchen. It's easier if I find it first and can lead you there, Skully scoffed. Plus, I can take care of myself. I've not only grown bigger, but also stronger. I can use my fire longer now. I'll be fine, he finished seriously, sending thoughts of safety and precaution to Riv.

The girl was torn. She didn't know if she should stay here and let Skully do the exploring, or go with him. She would probably just slow him down, as fast as he was, but she was still a bit afraid for him, no matter his tries to soothe her fears. Finally, after a long internal debate she plopped down again. Then go, but be fast, and careful! Riv thought. Skully nodded, turned and ran down the stairs and through the museum, disappearing through the door not 5 seconds later. Riv hoped he would really be okay. STOP WORRYING! came a quieter shout from Skully. Apparently distance made the connection thinner. She'd reckoned that would happen. Then she put her worries to the background and tuned back into what Avalon and Invi were discussing beside her.

"A genius about what?" asked Avalon. Apparently, invi and Terry had had some sort of conversation, but she hadn't caught the mental exchange. Meanwhile, Vuelie was getting hungry. Avalon held out a few berries to her, and she licked them up carefully (she was starting to develop stronger teeth).

Invi explained the plan to Avalon. "....and that's how were going to contain her" she finished." But, for now, let's get some food and rest". Invi turned to terry. Along his back, small ivory spikes had started to grow, and the wing stubs had gotten longer.

Riku and little grey soon join the others quietly, Riku was looking a bit green in the face for some reason and grey seemed worried about him and chirped softly, hoping to get the attention of the others but knew it my be useless. he looked at the young one and saw it was a bit clumsy and almost fell off his shoulder in a frenzy.

Doves and Little One finely got a chance to look at the girl and the creatures that were now tide up. "Are we bring this gall along as well? I get the impression she's hungry." Doves said via the dragons, though her little one was really tired, and hungry.

((Sorry for being so short, I got lost reading lol, and I had been away from the comp for a weekend, so it was ALOT to read))

"All right then," answered Avalon. "There's always the chance she'll call our bluff, but she doesn't seem to be in the frame of mind to do that right now," she continued. "You tell her, though." She stood (her energy was coming back fairly quickly) and walked over to her display to pick up her stuff. She would take inventory later - there was a lot she hadn't gotten to yet, but she had other things to do.

Reginald looked around at the riders. Most of them seemed to be in poor shape after the battle. "I'll start preparing dinner soon," he called. "You all should go back to your dorms and rest after we've found somewhere for these things." And a way to transport them there without them killing us, he thought to himself.

((Now that I've got time to write here, it's quiet, but the second I get more to do/don't get online that much, it's like madness over here xD And yaaay for some hatchie RP-ing! Not to mention Reginald!!! I'm hoping this is a bit more interesting than the usual "Riv did this, Riv did that, Riv thought this and that" xD ^^))

Skully was sniffing around the huge building, trying to find that elusive kitchen. Since no one was cooking anything, he couldn't quite find it only based on his nose. Instead he peeked into every room that had it's door open on his way. Somehow he instinctively knew in which way to go so he wasn't wandering around completely lost, but just to make sure he looked at what the other rooms were. Might be they could be important for the humans.

He discovered some more dorms almost identical (besides the layout) to the first one where they had last taken the noon nap. It was now getting dark outside, but the whole hatchery seemed to glow with some inner light. He couldn't figure out the exact source, but as immersed he was in magic himself it was clear to him the light came from the same place. He might not need it with his sharp eyes and flames, but the humans would be more comfortable with it.

There was one room that was quite alien to him. It was separated into smaller parts, and in each of those sat a strange round-ish object. It was white, and had a hole in it. Curious, he sniffed at it, and immediately pulled his nose back, crinkling it at the horrible smell that was wafting up to him. Backing out, he left the room quickly, making a point to ask about that from his human.

And there it was. Just a few rooms further he found the place called kitchen. He didn't know the word exactly, but had seen plenty of picture from Riv's mind before when she'd been thinking about food and cooking and whatnot, and he recognized the counters, cupboards and different appliances from those. Just then, he heard footsteps behind him. Slinking into a dark corner, he quieted his flames down to almost nothingness to stay hidden. A few moments later Reginald appeared around the bend in the corridor, and Skully breathed a little easier. Reg was nowhere near being his friend, but he wasn't afraid of him either. How could he be, of that silly human who dressed in strange clothing (according to his own human) and did nothing but let the young hatchling humans fight for him? Skully crunched up his nose again, this time in disdain. He didn't have to hide from him. He would show him he wasn't afraid of some useless leaf-eating creature.

Skully leaping out of the corner and jumping right in front of Reginald who had been about to enter the kitchen made him squeak in a very unsophisticated way and nearly spring into the wall behind him. Catching himself at the last moment, he collected himself, seeing it was only one of the hatchling dragons. The Skull Phoenix, to be precise. His trained mind immediately started remembering every little detail he'd learned about that particular breed. Surprisingly even to him, he didn't have much information about them, only that they were usually seen as harbingers of evil or death, but he'd already learned that was simply a very unfortunate coincidence of really evil creatures trying to catch the few rare Skull Phoenixes that were out there, making them seem the bringers of bad things when in reality they were more than loveable, if not overy curious and more than a bit nosy.

The hatchling in front of him was puffing itself up like an angry cat. He wasn't sure why it would be doing that, but figured it was some kind of a test for him. He assessed the small dragon up and down, noticing the flames were burning higher than usual. He wasn't sure what to make of it, but he was keen on passing the test, whatever it was. He carefully reached out with his mind, trying to let the other know he didn't mean anything harmful towards it. His tries were met with a hard stone wall. The hatchling was purposefully keeping him out. So no mind communication then.

Skully, in the meanwhile, was trying to figure out whether he should scare some fight into the old man, or just skulk off and let his human know he found the kitchen. The first option was really tempting, but just then he felt a nagging feeling through his bond with his human that she needed him. It wasn't a thought as much as tiny parts of the feelings flowing through to him. There was nervousness and slight excitement, but also fear and... determination? Whatever the humans back in the sharp-objects-room were doing they were definitely doing something he should see. So with a final scorching look at the pointless weird-clothes-man, he turned and flitted down the corridor back towards the museum, failing to hear Reginald's almost disappointed sigh as the man turned into the kitchen to prepare some food.

Riv had risen from her spot after hearing Invi's plan, not sure what she should do. Seeing as Avalon was gathering up her things at her display, she figured she'd pack things up as well. Picking up her gauntlets and greaves she'd removed after the fight she made her way to her slightly disarrayed stuff. Everything was where she'd left it, and the first thing she picked up was the wand. She'd completely forgotten she could have tried to use it for the battle, but she didn't think it would be so easy, seeing as she was a complete newbie to magic spells. She'd try out the wand later in peace and quiet, and see what some easier spells accomplished for her.

Packing up her backpack, she found some really useful straps and compartments for her armor, so she didn't have to carry the whole thing in her arms. They fit neatly around the pack, making it sturdier and giving it some defense against whatever might happen. The rest of the stuff found their slings and straps as well, and soon she was ready to go, with her sword still hanging on her belt, the bow slung over the backpack and the latter itself on her back. She looked expectantly toward the others to see what they had decided.
