Dragons are real.

The shock washes over you, slowly. You slowly come back to yourself and notice, as if for the first time, the person in front of you, sitting atop a majestic dragon. You know all about the dragon, naturally. Tale of Dragons has taught you a lot. Of course, until a few seconds ago, you had thought it was all fantasy…
You blink in the sunlight. Not long ago at all, you had been inside, on the computer, hatching your newest rare. So many incredible dragons… could they ALL be as real as the one standing in front of you?
“You can only have one,” says the figure on the dragon’s back. One dragon. That’s all? Online, you have tons. Then again, that’s a game. You’re shaken from your thoughts as the figure speaks again. “Now, come. Hurry! Usually, Mistland is only open to admins, but this is an emergency. We need everyone we can get who knows something about real dragons.”
“Wait,” you say. “I’m going where?” Your mind flashes to all the things you have to do today – (sports practice, work, school, whatever) – but this has got to be important. You don’t know the stranger on the dragon, but come on! Real dragons! Not hesitating any longer, you scramble on board the dragon’s back. No sooner do you have a grip than the rider calls out to their steed and the dragon’s wings lift. It shoots up into the sky as fast as a bullet – and then the world around you disappears.
“First, we need to get you a dragon. I needed to catch mine myself, but since we’ve had such a growth recently, you’ll just get yours from the hatchery that Silver and I built.”
Silver? Meaning… SILVER Silver? The founder of the site? … Oh.
“Wait. Who are YOU then?”
The rider doesn’t answer. It’s so dark, they may not even be there anymore. Suddenly, however, the dragon’s wings stop beating and you’re sitting in broad daylight, in front of the strangest building you’ve ever seen.
“Welcome to the hatchery on Mistland,” says the dragon rider with a slight smile. “Go right on in.” The rider then promptly flies away on their dragon into the sky until you can't see them any more.

Avalon kept her hold on the spell until she was mostly sure that invi had had enought time to take care of the attackers. Then she let go of her mental hold and sat down hard on the floor. Vuelie immediately rushed over and crawled onto her lap. Are you okay? she asked. At the same time, the bug creatures started thrashing around in their ropes. Thankfully, the ropes held. I'm fine, answered Avalon. Just tired. I'm not surprised, Vuelie answered. After all, that was your first time. Avalon smiled, remembering the first time Vuelie had used her magic. Then she noticed. Vuelie's new voice was definitely female. She hadn't had time to think about it before, but she was pretty sure that her hatchling was more mature now. Indeed, when she looked down at her, she observed that Vuelie was much bigger than she had been as a little hatchling. She had grown from the size of a Chihuahua to the size of a border collie, and her feathers (or were they scales? Avalon wasn't quite sure) had developed a definite metallic golden tinge. Still, her flight feathers weren't quite in yet, and her voice didn't sound mature, either, more like a young girl's. Avalon stayed sitting, but keeping a close watch on the bugs to make sure they didn't break the ropes, though it didn't seem likely.

((I posted! :p Poor Riv, can you imagine? All five of us got on as soon as she got off. O_o))

Doves watched as it all went down, and the little one was slowly waking back up, but it was really groggy, and not comprehending what was going on well. She stepped out, more into the open and watched the creatures with a curious eye. "Any idea what they are?" Doves asked while walking up to Avalon to make sure she was okay. Doves knealed down and looked Avalon over, and finding out she was just overly tired. "Neat trick," Doves thought to her, while smiling then getting up to look everyone else over. The little one chirped sleepily, it's skin a dull gray, but sending a mental image of books, bags, and full vials. Doves paused, then ran back to grab her two healing books and a notebook. One last message before you sleep again please? She asked Little One, and the little one nodded an okay. "Okay guys, anyone, dragons and people, let me know if your hurt, I'll see what I can do ease pain and what not." She said as she looked everyone over from where she stood.

Avalon smiled at Doves when she was sure she was looking at her, and then put her head down on her knees and rested. She wasn't tired enough to sleep, and for sure she wasn't going to close her eyes with those things still thrashing around, but she didn't really have enough energy to get up, either. She pulled her necklace up to look at it, admiring how her new magic item shimmered in the light. So it wasn't a wand. She could live with that. Besides, she thought as she felt that swirling power inside of her, she could probably direct the magic anywhere she wanted. No way was she going to experiment with it in her current state, though. Instead, she set up a mental connection with Vuelie. Hi, she said. She had a habit of saying "hi" at spontaneous times, even when she had been around someone for hours. Hi, her hatchling said back cheerily. Are we going to get food soon? I don't know, said Avalon. We have to deal with these people first. Do you know who they are? Vuelie hesitated. Sort of, she trailed off. I remember them, but I don't know why or from where. I know I've seen that warrior before, though. Don't ask me when. Avalon pondered this for a bit.

Riku sat down and looked down at his wounds and he winches a little probing the wounds. he looked around quietly and blinks and leans back on the wall. eyes close as he rests quietly, but was not asleep. little grey leapt on his lap and chirps softly and curls up, Riku wrapped his kimono around the baby dragon.

((Wth guys xD I go to sleep and, quoting Doves, all hell breaks loose. XD ugh I so hate timezones. Am I the only one here from Europe currently?

Since I'm on my phone and in school atm I won't be able to write a longer post but I get home in a few hours and will definitely write one there. Just don't move from your spots xD it's already confusing as hell to try and think up what I was doing the whole time and still be logical xD))

((Okay sorry for the double post, but I'm now going to write up my post and if anyone dares post before I'm done my wrath shall descend upon them XD Just kidding.

@Avalon: Poor me indeed. Whaddaya think I felt when I woke up, went to school and checked the thread on my phone to discover you guys had done all the awesome parts without me? XD Oh, and I hope you don't mind me using your idea of colorful text for the mental convos between us and the dragons, they do pop out better so. If you mind, though, just let me know, I wouldn't want to be called a copy-cat or worse... =3))

All hell had broken loose. Shace had apparently ignored her shouts, instead running toward the balcony. What she'd intended to do there, Riv couldn't figure out. She'd had no time to react, though, since just then Invi had slashed one of the creature's eyes open. It's high-pitched scream was mirrored by a quieter squeal from the pale girl, but Riv didn't manage to spare her a look since the creature had just then turned on Avalon.

Riv had charged it. There was no other way to react, knowing any second of hesitation could be lethal to Avalon who seemed to be struggling to keep the creature at bay with one hand whilst fiddling around with her necklace with the other. "I told you to leave the jewellery alone," Riv had shouted, but it had been lost in the loud crashes and screams that were echoing around the room from all the fighting. It didn't help that Invi had now managed to remove the tip of one of the tails the creature had (three tails, seriously? Where did these things come from? Hell?) and had sent it into a rage.

Thanks to her armor, Riv managed to avoid most of the tail swipes and lashing wings the creature directed towards her and the others. It's own armor was strong enough to withstand the slashes she made towards it, but it was slowly getting more tired, partly due to the injuries it'd gotten.

She had just been lunging in toward an opening she'd spotted underneath one tail, when suddenly the creature had frozen. She nearly stumbled, seeing as she was moving so fast and had to stop herself from falling over. The attack had ceased and everyone, panting, looked around to see what had happened. Just then Avalon spoke, obviously under strain: "Will someone please tie these things up? Or something? I'd prefer we not kill them..." Riv noticed the tell-tale signs of a mental struggle. She also noticed Avalon slightly glowing with a blue light, which seemed to originate from somewhere in the middle of her chest. She looked more closely and noticed the necklace she'd worn before looked different. The marble was now distinctly blue instead of clear like before. So that was the "jewellery" she had been fiddling around with.

She pondered about the magic Avalon was obviously using as Riku, who she hadn't even noticed fighting beside her, tied up the creatures on their floor and Invi performed some seriously awesome Assassin's Creed-type scaling stunts to get to the balcony and tie up the girl there as well. It wasn't anything she hadn't seen before (at least in animes or movies), but it had to have taken a great deal of energy away. She'd sat down, still breathing hard from the fight, and Skully came trotting up to her. You okay, little guy? Riv asked him as he climbed onto her lap, though she could feel the little dragon was just fine. I'm fine, don't worry about me, he scoffed back, seemingly insulted at how she could even think he wouldn't be fine. Typical boy behaviour, Riv thought to herself, only to get a mocking smile back from the hatchling. I'm hungry. Can I eat one of the creatures? he asked. Riv snorted out loud, looking at the hatchling. I doubt you'd fit even a small part of their tail inside you, plus Avalon didn't want to hurt them further. He didn't say anything to that.

But the truth was, her hatchling was bigger than before. How that was possible, she didn't even come close to comprehend. They shouldn't be growing as fast as they did, but there she was, sitting with him on her lap. When coming out of the egg he'd been about the size of a month-old kitten and by the river he'd already had wing bumps and approximately the size of a year-old cat, then now, lounging relaxed on her lap he was as big as her cat Tommy back on earth. And that was saying something, since Tommy was pretty well-built for a cat. The wing bumps had definitely grown bigger and were now sporting tiny flames on top of each, though they did resemble feathers more than flames. Riv failed to come up with a feasible explanation to how he could be growing so fast in just one day. Maybe it was all the magic that was used around here and had imbued into the very land that made them grow faster, or maybe it was because they actually had riders now and had to grow up faster to be of real protection to their partners.

She shrugged it off as just another oddity about this land and looked around to figure out what the others were doing. Doves was tending to the hurt people, showing a surprising amount of skill in all that. Riku seemed to be sleeping near Riv with Grey on his lap. Avalon was curled up with Vuelie, tired, but still alert, seemingly in deep conversation with her hatchling. Invi was still on the balcony, probably trying to figure out how to get the now-tied up girl, who had passed out from the pain she'd experienced, down to them. Maybe there was a staircase behind the door up there? "Hey Invi, check behind the door, maybe there are stairs there that you can use to bring her down to us?" Riv shouted up to the ninja-girl (as she'd started calling her in her head). Shace... where was Shace? From her sitting point her view of the whole room was partly blocked by other veiled sets and the still-trashing creatures so she assumed the last girl was somewhere she couldn't see.

Well, this had been an interesting day, she mused to herself. Fishing, making a fire, a noon nap, awesome weapons and a honest-to-god real fight. She felt exhausted and hoped that the interrogation wouldn't take too long. She was feeling slightly hungry as well, thanks to Skully mentioning his hunger. Oh, and where was Reginald then? He'd apparently disappeared after throwing the shield up, very conveniently. He'd been standing by the door after all. Riv frowned. Wasn't he supposed to help them get into all this? Or was his idea of teaching to throw them in the midst of the biggest chaos and see how they fared? Riv had to admit they all had worked pretty well together under pressure, but they still needed some guidance here. She sighed and focused on removing some parts of her armor. It was awesome in fights, but uncomfortable when just sitting around. Skully moved from her lap to her side, curiously following her every move with unblinking eyes. Just like a cat.

((((((((hey guys ,should be late now? i mean, it was noon when we had the nap, so nightfall should be happening pretty soon, right?))))))))

(((avalon! how long until our dragons evolve to stage three?!)))

invi brought the girl and her little monsters down the stairs and sat them in front of the others. it was quite unusual, invi had expected swearing and curses from the girl, but she just shivered and stayed silent in terror. once placed in front of the others she looked up, with wide yellow eyes and....started to cry again. "please! please, please, please, please don't kill them!" she gestured to the two small monsters tied to her back "I.....they.....please, the other tamers, th-they forced me t-to-" her accent was to thick to understand the next part, although she said something that sorta sounded like 'pizza role' and 'phosphorescent cat'. invi bent down. "what's your name?"
"melody, melody sunflic"

(((hey, hey,hey.......we got a new player i guess. kinda like Reginald, controlled by everyone(as long as she stays in character))))

((Riv: You're not the only one. Invi's from the UK.
invi: Yeah, I'd guess it's about 6:00. Stage three? You mean gendered? Well, we decided it would be a gradual process, but yours should be about gendered in a couple of posts.))

Avalon managed to half-crawl, half-walk over to where invi had put the girl down, Vuelie hopping along next to her. Then she sat down again and looked at the girl with the pale hair. Her accent was difficult to understand, but at least she seemed to speak English. That surprised Avalon, as they were on a different planet. Then again, how did Reginald learn it? He seemed to know all sorts of weird languages. Speaking of Reginald, where was he? She noticed him standing near the back of the room, quietly listening. So far, he hadn't been much of a help, but maybe he knew something about these people, or could at least translate the girl's odd accent. Avalon waved him over, and he came, but hesitantly, giving the bug creatures a wide berth. Avalon turned back to the girl and watched attentively as she started to speak. So someone had forced her to... do something. Attack, probably. Avalon wasn't sure she trusted this girl, and from what she could tell, Vuelie didn't either. The hatchling had her eyes locked on the monsters strapped to the girl's back, and her tail was pointing peculiarly straight back (a gesture accentuated by the small diamond shape on its tip). From what Avalon could gather, this person seemed to be a... tamer? Of something? Not dragons, that was for sure. Apparently of the bugs. But eww. Those things were creeepy. Well, to each their own, she supposed.

Invi walked over to help avalon. she helped her up and bought her to a table on the side, and gave her some of the weird cactus berries she had stored in her pocket, just before the attack had launched. "so, what are we going to do about miss melody over there?"
