Dragons are real. The shock washes over you, slowly. You slowly come back to yourself and notice, as if for the first time, the person in front of you, sitting atop a majestic dragon. You know all about the dragon, naturally. Tale of Dragons has taught you a lot. Of course, until a few seconds ago, you had thought it was all fantasy… You blink in the sunlight. Not long ago at all, you had been inside, on the computer, hatching your newest rare. So many incredible dragons… could they ALL be as real as the one standing in front of you? “You can only have one,” says the figure on the dragon’s back. One dragon. That’s all? Online, you have tons. Then again, that’s a game. You’re shaken from your thoughts as the figure speaks again. “Now, come. Hurry! Usually, Mistland is only open to admins, but this is an emergency. We need everyone we can get who knows something about real dragons.” “Wait,” you say. “I’m going where?” Your mind flashes to all the things you have to do today – (sports practice, work, school, whatever) – but this has got to be important. You don’t know the stranger on the dragon, but come on! Real dragons! Not hesitating any longer, you scramble on board the dragon’s back. No sooner do you have a grip than the rider calls out to their steed and the dragon’s wings lift. It shoots up into the sky as fast as a bullet – and then the world around you disappears. “First, we need to get you a dragon. I needed to catch mine myself, but since we’ve had such a growth recently, you’ll just get yours from the hatchery that Silver and I built.” Silver? Meaning… SILVER Silver? The founder of the site? … Oh. “Wait. Who are YOU then?” The rider doesn’t answer. It’s so dark, they may not even be there anymore. Suddenly, however, the dragon’s wings stop beating and you’re sitting in broad daylight, in front of the strangest building you’ve ever seen. “Welcome to the hatchery on Mistland,” says the dragon rider with a slight smile. “Go right on in.” The rider then promptly flies away on their dragon into the sky until you can't see them any more. |

((Oh invi, I love your Luna sig! *u*)) Avalon grinned back and went to track down Reginald. She could never be quite sure where he was. She tried the kitchen first. Nothing. She would have just made Lucky's dinner herself, but first of all, she had no idea where anything was, and secondly, the most sophisticated thing she could make was scrambled eggs, hot chocolate, and salad. Furthermore, she realized, this was a weird kitchen. There was no microwave, or refrigerator, just an oven and stove, plus tons of shelves and boxes with weird-looking vials and cans. She wondered exactly what she had just eaten. It tasted normal, though. Probably just culinary magic or whatnot. She left the kitchen and passed the bedrooms on her way to the main corridor. Riku was looking better, fortunately, she thought absently. Now where was Mr. Sercath? She called Vuelie. We need Reginald. Have you seen him? Nope, came the immediate reply, not any more recently than you. Okay, let's fan out, she replied. I'll head towards the museum, you check the hatchery. She exited the hall and strode out towards the stairs. ((Don't worry guys, I'm not ditching the party. I'll be back in a couple quick posts. ^^)) (EDIT: Hey look, another page.) Doves took a breath and looked down at the silpetl she was carrying. Do you think you can find your human? And not cause any problems? She asked it, because she was getting tired of carrying it. In reply it simply nodded so Doves set it down and watched as it raced towards the dooms. Storm followed it closely while Doves followed at a more leisurely pace. |

Invi walked to melody's room and unblocked the door.melody had stopped banging, and had started to pace her room. Invi could tell she was panicked, as she could hear the tamer muttering to her self. "It's going to be fine. The riders haven't harmed her. Its going to be fine..." Truly she was scared. But soon the smaller silpetl charged towards her, and grinded to a halt at her feet. It was closely followed by storm. Invi stared at the pair, before opening the door slightly and letting the creature in. |

((Just like I did! )) "Are you going inside or what?" Messenger asked whoever was within ear (and mind) shot. "I don't know my way around in there, you know!" She hoped someone at least would notice her. She really was getting hungry by now, what with all the interruptions whenever they started to go inside. Absently, she noticed how big the other dragons where. They looked almost big enough to ride. She wondered if her Anya had hatched yet. Maybe she could feed it. That would be fun. |

Doves mentally chuckled at Messenger. Over here, look inside the doorway, oh, probably thirty feet down or so, I'm heading to the dorm room. She said directly to Messenger. In the mean time, Storm was prancing back to Doves when he heard Doves. I'll go get her! He accented this with a very loud chirp, and bounced over to where Messenger was. |

((*Dies in laughter* Uh, probably best if you start out in the
hatchery getting your egg ^^, but if you want to add an NPC or two, go
for it :P, also, Edited by WildFlower1324, Sep 8 2014, 08:48 PM.

((Whoa! Um, that's not what I was expecting. OK, Resh and Gryff,
crash course. You get your egg in the hatchery, which is a room in that
huge building in front of you. The egg's status depends on your number
of posts - I'll tell you when the egg's hatched. Feel free to create new
characters (like that dragon), but remember any NPCs (any character
other than you and your dragon/fox/cat (I'd better not have to extend
that list, LOL)) can be played by anyone. Also, we're out on the side
lawn, so you should hear voices and noises from there. In addition,
telepathy requires conscious consent from both parties, unless someone
pushes their way into your brain by force, which is quite unpleasant
(and difficult - has never happened in the roleplay so far). Telepathy
is not unlike one person making a call and the other picking up the
phone. Especially if you're nervous and you feel someone (some-dragon?)
trying to get into your mind, I doubt you'd accept. ^^" Once a
connection is established, however, you can talk to each other easily.
By the way, connection is effortless for human/dragon pairs, but
hatchlings generally can't do it until they mature, unless they're
exceptionally quick-thinking. For anyone else, it is a bit more
difficult, but not much if both parties are trying to communicate. It is
nearly impossible, though, for a human to set up a connection on their
own if they've never had someone do it to them first. Hope that clears
everything up!)
